The images in this collection
are organised by project area and then further sub-divided according to the type of
archive available, for example photograph, census records, maps etc.
A thumbnail is supplied for each image, together with a brief description,
file type and size. To view the image at full size click on its thumbnail.
The images may be used in a variety of ways. Selected images may be saved
to the computer's hard drive or to floppy disk and used with other applications.
Alternatively, an image may be copied and pasted into other documents. To do so right
click on the image using the mouse and select copy from the menu that appears.
Particular images may be opened and edited using a suitable photo/paint
program, where text boxes and word balloons etc. may be added. It is suggested that
certain archives, i.e Census materials are better viewed using a program that allows you
to zoom in to the document.
